Happy Friday!!
I cannot wait for tomorrow!! I am flying up to Tennessee to spend time with family and help my daughter celebrate her 23rd birthday! And....her birthday is on Valentine's Day!

Today is the Raise The Bar Challenge #91. This week it is "Roses and Chocolate". Get out those reds and browns! I went through my DP and could not find a thing with red and brown. I found lots of red and black as well as pink and brown. So, I opted for a CAS card using this weeks Fall To Layout #176 and didn't use any DP. How's that? And there is not a lot of chocolate, lol. Been trying to stay away from that stuff....

I got out the True Love stamp Set by Gina K and inked up the pretty little heart snowflake. Love that stamp in the set! The heart border is stamped with Versamark and embossed with White EP.

Has your week gotten off to a good start?

I had a followup with the doctor yesterday and I was given a high five on my progress with my shoulder. I tell ya...doing physical therapy on yourself four times a day is grueling but it paid off! We haven't even gotten to the strengthening exercises yet though....Slow process but I will be glad to have full range of motion of my shoulder again.

My Mom and Dad headed back to Tennessee yesterday. They came to help me this past week since Bill had to leave for Baton Rouge to work for five months. I couldn't ask for sweeter parents! Love you guys!

My card is for this weeks SCS Color Combination Challenge hosted by mwah...Soft Poppy Delight. I saw this color combination in the new SU Mini and just had to see what everyone would come up with in the challenge. I have been wanting to use this PL image since Christmas and the MFT Wed Stamp Club layout was perfect for it. I flipped the sketch to have more room for my stamp image.

Great Catch

Good Friday Morning!
Are you ready for the weekend? I am!! I have been recuperating from my shoulder surgery slowly but surely. Physical therapy has been kicking my butt! No pain, no gain, so they say.... Stitches come out on Monday and hopefully clearance from the doc to be able to drive.

With this post comes my announcement of the invitation to join the Raise The Bar Challenge Design Team. I am now a "Bar-Tender"! Fun, fun group of ladies and wonderful challenges each week.The Bar-Tenders "encourage you to challenge yourself, raise your own level of crafting, and keep your resolution to use those new stamping items".

Happy Saturday!

All went well with my surgery Tuesday. I am sitting here typing with one hand, lol! Funny how you don't realize how many things take two hands to do. Like buttoning your pants, putting contact lenses in, fixing your hair, opening containers with screw on lids, buttering toast, just to name a few...Good thing I have a helper! He has been a real trooper too.

My card is one I did for the Jan 17th SCS Color Combination Challenge~ Pretty Pink Rose. Dessert Option~Valentines
Mary was the hostess and I got to sample with her. Love the shades of pinks and of course I had to get some black in there!

Happy Tuesday!
Thought I better get this card uploaded and some others scheduled before I head to surgery this afternoon to have my shoulder worked on. Bone spurs, irritated tendons and arthritis wreak havoc on you, you know! Hopefully I will not be out of commission for very long. I am an avid bowler and stamper. When I cannot do those two things I get a little cranky, lol!

My card today is for the Jan12-25th Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge. Take inspiration from this photo.....

Of course the polka dots are the eye catcher in this photo for me. I love the color combo but have been doing a lot of red and green for the holidays. I remembered having some SU DP with big dots, so I brought it out along with my favorite Paper Smooches set, Boob Tubes. The layout is this weeks Clean and Simple Challenge #174. This will also go in the Raise The Bar Challenge "Ring In The New Year" (aka Circles).

Happy Saturday!! Woot Woot!

Do you have plans for the weekend or just relaxing? Bill and I are planning on a little bowling practice on a Pro Tour shot today. He is the Pro. I am just pretending to be a Pro, lol! It really is nice to have a partner that loves the same sport as you. He has taught me so many things about the sport. He is heading out in a couple of weeks to work at the USBC Open in Baton Rouge for several months. At least I can drive over and visit when I get too lonely.

My card today will probably be the one I send to Bill for Valentines Day. I love this stamp set from Our Craft Lounge called "Spilling Over". I had some left over Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper from last year and that is what dictated the colors on the hot air balloon. The red stickles really pop in real life!

I am going to try and participate in the monthly Sketch For You To Try challenges over on Jen Del Muro's blog "I Heart To Stamp". The layout for my card is the January sketch.

Happy Saturday! I was on the road this week for my job. Back home now and was it ever cold cold cold yesterday!

My card is one that I did a couple of weeks ago for the MFT Wed Stamp Club and the monthly Guest Designer challenge. This little Pure Innocence Girl (Being Cute) is one of my favorites in the stamp line. She is like a paper doll that you can dress up any way you like with some paper piecing.

Happy Tuesday!
Hope your week got off to a good start! This is my first five day work week since before Christmas, so we will see how things are at the end of the week, lol! We got the tree down this weekend and decorations put away for another year. I headed into my craft room and started doing a ~~little~~ lot of purging and re-organizing. I am going to try some different things this year with my crafting. I will keep you posted!

Joanne is our hostess and she picked a sweet combo that could be used for some non- traditional valentines. I have been seeing a lot of valentines this year with blue added to the pinks. Hmmm...maybe she is onto something, lol!
I had the new GinaK StampTV kit sitting on my table and it was calling my name! I just love the little typewriter in the set. Well I love all the stamps in the set. It is HUGE!
I got out my aquapainter that I have not used in ages...er... years (since finding Copics) and colored up the typewriter with today's colors.

Good Tuesday Morning!!
Guess it is back to the ole grind for me and many others today. It has been wonderful being off from work the past week and a trip to Tennessee got extended due to car problems....Ever wonder why the car decides to act up when it is almost paid for? We made it back home New Years Eve and the fog rolled in so heavy, visibility was down to almost zero. We decided to stay home and bring in the New Year quietly...watching the "pelican drop" on tv. Yes, Pensacola has a brightly lit Pelican that makes its way down at the strike of midnight!

Ok...on to my card....
It is for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge~Lucky Island Basics,with a dessert option to use something new.
Betty is the hostess with the mostest and these colors are fabulous together! I got the dessert in too as this stamp set from Paper Smooches arrived on my doorstep right before Christmas. Love the Boob Tubes, lol! The something old is the Basic Gray cardstock. Have had it forever and it hardly gets used! I used the Clean and Simple Layout #171.

Hope your holiday was wonderful!
We are still in Tennessee and the weather is cold. Not to my liking but spending time with family makes up for it! I still have a few Christmas cards to share. If you happen to be like me, I make Christmas cards all year long so I love to have some inspiration at any time!

My card today is made with an Outlines Rubber Stamp that my sister gave to me for my birthday in November. I LOVE this stamp! She even sent me some instructions that were on the Outlines website, so I used them but changed the color scheme. I have some more cards planned with different colors, that you will most likely see in the near future.

I stamped the image twice on cryogen iridescent white with Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out the dove and star on one. The images are colored with Copics. The base image was cut out with a Spellbinders circle die and I airbrushed the background with an E42 marker. The DP is from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper pad and is cut out with a Spellbinders Grand Scallop Circle die and adhered to another cut out of Always Artichoke paper to make the base card. I used Viva Decor White Pearl Pen on the outer edge of the scallops and added Swarovski crystals to the star and tail swirls.

I am about to finish up my holiday baking. A double batch of Chex Mix was finished last night. Dipped pretzel rods are next and then I am done. We will be traveling up to Tennessee tomorrow and my brother and his wife will be coming to spend Christmas with my nephew who is stationed here. Couldn't ask for better house sitters, right?

My card today is one I did for the SCS Dec VSN challenge~ Blue Christmas. Sue wanted us to make our Christmas creations blue. Not a hard one for me because I love blue Christmas decorations and cards! I used last year's Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die and the Gina K stamp set Heirloom Ornaments. This was a fun and simple card to make.

Sunny Christmas Marci

Hello Everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

How are your holiday preparations going? Tree up and decorations done, check. Christmas cards mailed, check. Shopping done, three quarters check.Wrapping done, one quarter check. Baking done, no check. Lol! I decided there would be no stress this year, so I am plugging along a little bit at a time. After all, we still have 11 days till Christmas! Eleven days....where did this year go?

My card today is one that I had so much fun making. I love the Lala Land Crafts images especially Marci. I could sit and color for hours! This sweet little girl definitely fits in my sunny and warm world here in Florida. Even though the Christmas season is upon us, we are still wearing short sleeves and yes...flip flops. Gotta love it!

I used the December Sketch For You To Try challenge for the card layout. Marci is colored with Copics and her strand of lights has touches of glossy accents. I received the new CC Designs Christmas Bulb die from All That Scraps and cut a few to add to the card.

Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Mine.....cold! So... I did not wander far from home. Late Saturday night I found out that I was the Featured Stamper this week over on Splitcoast. So exciting and I am truly honored. I love playing the challenges on Splitcoaststampers but because I work, I usually try to do the Featured Stamper challenge each week because it is on the weekend.

My card today is one that I did for the VSN challenge~No Business Like Snow Business. Rebecca wanted us to use snowflakes. Love snowflakes as long as they are not falling where I live, lol! I am a warm weather girl. But when it comes to cards I will make snowmen and snowflakes all day long! My inspiration for the card came from a card made by Teri Anderson that is in the Papercrafts Holiday Cards Magazine.

Happy Tuesday everyone! How is your week progressing? We have a visit from government regulators this week at work and it has been busy busy! They are here on Thursday, so Friday could not get here soon enough, lol!

I spent quite a bit of time in my craft room this weekend doing different projects but never really completing one thing. I did feel like I was making progress though! Do you like to work on one thing at a time from start to finish or work on several things in various stages of completion? I find myself moving toward the multiple projects side more and more. My card today is for the SCS Color Combination Challenge~ Blushing Pear Mist. Joanne is our hostess today and her dessert option is to make a Christmas Card. I love these colors for a non-traditional holiday card! I saw a poll on Facebook last week about traditional versus non-traditional colors for cards. I think the poll results were pretty much split 50-50. I am one that loves non-traditional colors. I turned over that leaf when I moved to Florida. I have a white tree and the color scheme is Pink, Turquoise and Lime Green! So Joanne's colors today are not not far off of mine.

I received some new MFT goodies last week and just had to stamp this adorable snowman. He is colored with Copics and and being a guy, is not afraid to wear pink...hee. Ahhhhh.....over the hump day!! How is your week going?
I did a little reorganizing in my craft room. Do we ever stop organizing and re-organizing? lol!

My card is for this week's SCS Color Combo Challenge~ Lucky Coral Breezes. Betty picked a lovely combination of colors! I even found a spot for the Calypso Coral!

I love the new WTG from MFT and used a Copic technique on her sweater using a terry washcloth and various ink to give it a fuzzy texture. The background embossed panel is spritzed with Perfect Pearls to give it a winter sparkle. The marshmallows in the cocoa are made with liquid applique. The layout is this past week's MFT Wed Sketch. Had a lot of fun with this card!

Another weekend flew by, but I was able to get some cooking in, made a few cards and did a little Christmas shopping. I decided I wanted to relax for the month of December.....we will see how that goes, lol!

Butterflies of Hope

Good Monday Morning!! Have a good weekend?
Mine are never long enough, teehee! Our team bowled a make-up session on Saturday. Bill only beat me by thirteen pins! How is that for going up against a Pro? Guess I ought to tell you that it was his first time bowling since he had his gallbladder out a few weeks ago. He did great though. I was proud of him. Our team is tied for fourth place now out of 32 teams. Hoping to make it to the roll offs at the end of the season. Good money if we do! I spent a lot of time in my craft room too. Was able to get three cards finished yesterday. Woot Woot!

Ok...on to my card for today....
It is for the SCS Hope You Can Cling To challenge by Wendy~ Butterflies of Hope. The challenge is to use a butterfly of ANY kind ... I have some beautiful SEI paper that I am trying use up. It has butterflies on just about every page! I colored LaLa Land Crafts Fancy Marci and used this weeks CR84FUN42 challenge colors of pale pink, black and a neutral (white in my case) for my card.

Her dress sparkles a little with glitter on her sash and at the bottom edge. The butterflies have a spritz of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch.

Happy Thursday!! Oh my, where has this week gone!! I spent some time in Tennessee this past weekend visiting family. I was able to surprise my daughter. She didn't know we were coming! I attended the Cariten reunion Sunday. It was good to see some work friends from the past and catch up on what everyone is doing now.

My card is for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge~ Rich Island Breeze with a dessert option of dry embossing.Mary is our hostess today and I love this color combination. I am sure the gallery is going to be so pretty!
I wanted to use some more of the techniques I learned in the Inspiration Showcase class with Jennifer McGuire. The background panel is dry embossed and then the raised edges are lightly sanded. Swiped an ink pad across it so the raised edges pick up the color, then sponged the color in between the raised edges. Love the effect! The card layout is this weeks MFT Wed Sketch.

October Blast From The Past Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for hopping!
The theme for this month's Taylored Expressions hop is Trick or Sweet. I chose Trick with a little bit of Sweet, hehe....
The stamp set is Punchy Potions. I just love this set. So many possibilities for Halloween fun! Last year I made Candy Potion bottles and sent them to my daughter. This year I had some fun with "Witches Hats"!

Here is my card. I used Sankari's sketch. The papers are all from The Recollections Midnight Magic Paper Pack. The side panels are the MS spider web border punch. The image is colored with Copics. I brought out the gold Smooch and sprayed away!

Now for the "Witches Hats"...
I found a couple of tutorials for the big hat and just knew I wanted to give it a try. You can find the tutorials here and here. I used various papers from my stash and the Punchy Potions spider to match my card. The flower is made with the Dahlia Spellbinders and felt.The bat is black foam cut with a Sizzix die and rhinestone eyes added. This one is sprayed with Smooch too. Hard to see in the picture. I really had fun making this!

The last of my "Witch Hats" are my "sweet" part of this post. I saw these cookies quite some time ago and posted them to my crafty food board on Pinterest. I cannot believe the number of people that repinned them! I hope everyone is making them for Halloween as they are super easy!! Fudge Stripe cookes (Keebler), Orange cookie icing (found in the baking section) and Hershey Kisses. Yum!!

Splitcoaststampers is partnering with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for the second annual month long card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer.

Did you have a nice weekend? Maybe a three day weekend? Not me! Our company only does six holidays, so yesterday I was working! I did have a good weekend though. Bill and I bowled in the Annual Pensacola Seniors Tournament. It was fun and I bowled well. Should find out the results in the next week or so!

My card is for today's SCS Color Combo Challenge~ Tempting Elegant Pie with a dessert option to make a Halloween card. Julia is our hostess this week and she kind of threw a wrench in my thought processes with the Turquoise! Lol! That's what challenges are for, right?!

I decided to do clean and simple and stamped the cat from the Flourishes Halloween set in the three ink colors. Only on Halloween will you see purple, orange and turquoise cats! I really should go back and put some lime green stickles on their eyes, don't you think?

Kissed Autumn Blessings

My card is for this week's SCS Color Combination Challenge~ More Soft Tango. Joanne chose a beautiful combo of fall colors!

I recently took the Inspiration Showcase class with Jennifer McGuire. It was two weeks chocked full of stamping goodness! I learned some new things and was reminded of some techniques I had learned a long time ago but had forgotten. For my card today, I used the Kissed Resist technique. I love how the Tangerine Tango ink turned out.

Want to know how to do this technique? It is really easy!!
Ink up your background stamp with Versamark Ink. Ink up the script stamp and kiss the background stamp. (I used the Reflections stamp, that has a reverse image so when you do the kissing, the script doesn't come out backwards). Stamp onto glossy card stock. I heat set the image with my embossing gun. Now take an ink pad and swipe across the card stock and wipe/buff with a cloth. That is it!

My card is for today's SCS Color Challenge~Cherry Expresso Party. Love the colors that Betty picked but really kept thinking about chocolate covered cherries! Lol!

I decided to make a holiday card with the MFT Birdhouse set. Love that Dienamics set! Since it is a wintry card I added some snow er.....Frosted Lace Stickles. Not that I am ready for snow anytime soon! For the dessert option to add something corrugated....the closest I came was the embossing on the birdhouse to give it some dimension. I slipped a little green in there as one of my neutrals.

It's time for the Color Combination Challenge on Splitcoaststampers and I am the hostess this week!
Since I am not ready for summer to be over, I chose to go with colors with names that have to do with summer. Peaches, Poppies and Pools! Gotta love that the colors all start with the letter "P". I really did not do that on purpose, lol!

Good Monday Morning! What a wonderful weekend we had here! No rain, just beautiful skies and temperatures to go with it. I spent some time in my craft room on Saturday, cranking out some cards. Yesterday was the Pensacola All Stars Bowling Tournament. I made the Sr Women's Team this year. We were pitted against the Sr Men Team and it was not pretty. One of the guys on their team rolled a 298!! No way us girls had a chance, lol! Great fun though.

Happy Tuesday!! If you had a long holiday weekend, I hope it was a good one. Due to Tropical Storm Lee, my three days were spent inside. What better excuse to work on cards! lol! A certain family member decided to have a gallbladder attack that landed him in the hospital and had a procedure to remove a lodged stone. A favorite stamper/designer of mine is the Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers today. I just had to join in the challenge and give her some honors.

The SCS Featured Stamper Challenge~She's Rejoicing in Every Moment of....Korin is the lady of the day!! I had the pleasure last year to be a Guest Diva for Sweet n'Sassy Stamps. Love Love Love their stamps and digis!
I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I saw this card in Korin's gallery.
I changed everything except the stamp/digi image. Used some paper that was in my stash just waiting for the perfect card....Kept the card monochromatic...Used today's CPS 232 sketch for the layout.

Happy Tuesday!! How have you been? Me? Busy Busy!!
We had Bill's son and granddaughter visiting this past week. The house is not the same when you have a four year old keeping you company, lol! We went to the beach, checked out a couple of restaurants, went to the beach, played games on my I Pad, went to the beach, caught frogs and lizards and......... went to the beach!

Of course it is Tuesday and it is SCS Color Combo time.The challenge~ Blushing Wisteria Sand hosted by Joanne, one of our Paper Dolls group of friends. Love these soft colors for a card! The dessert option~ Clear and shiny. I chose a card by Jane Casaldi out of the latest issue of Cards Magazine for my inspiration.

The edges of the card are sponged to give some definition to the Sahara Sand card base. The DP is StampinUp's Flirtatious in digital format. I love being able to download print paper and use it right away! No dessert on this one as I am trying to ~~keep~~ get slim and trim, lol!

Thought I would mix some things up this week and post on Friday instead of Tuesday. It has been kind of quiet around the house with company gone! I made my card for the SCS Color Combo Challenge but just kept putting off posting it. You know how you get when you sit down in front of the computer? I find so many places to go and things to see, I just don't know where the time goes! Do you ever think that there is a time warp thing going on when you are on the computer? lol!

My daughter is here visiting from Tennessee and we are enjoying the week. Hope yours is a good one too!

Today is the Color Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers and I am the hostess today! The challenge~ Island Tango Delight. You know me and the "Islands/Beach/Sand/Water..." lol. The dessert option~ Use felt.
I ended up taking inspiration from Sankari Wegman's card that I bookmarked back in March. Lots of Nestibilities used on this card and lots of Viva Decor Pearl Pen dots. You would have laughed if you had seen me putting the dots on! I learned a few tricks with that Pearl Pen!

Happy Tuesday! I am scooting by to say Hi!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We finally got rain here....six inches or so....No beach time, but that is ok. I checked out a "new to me" scrapbook store in Crestview, FL. Lots of neat things! I love going to "non big box" craft stores. There are not many of them left.

Well today is the Color Combination Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers and Mary is our hostess. She picked some fun colors and the name of the challenge~ Pool Party with Wasabi Chips. Gotta love it!!

Happy Tuesday!
Did you have a great July 4th? Our bowling league did not take the night off so when I headed home I got to drive through part of downtown Pensacola....oh my....Bayfront Drive was blocked off going westbound. There was people everywhere!! The fireworks were about to begin! I headed across the bay bridge and looking out over the water I got to see a sight I have never seen before. Boats everywhere!! It was so neat to see the twinkling of lights out on the water, everywhere you looked! What a remarkable day the birthday of the United States of America is!

Since it is Tuesday, you know that I will have a card for the Splitcoaststampers Color Combination challenge! Today's challenge~Rich Melon Tango. Julia is the hostess and her colors had me wanting to color! It has been a while since I used my Copics due to a trigger finger problem. But an injection and a few weeks rest had me coloring away today!

Recent Travels and Bowling

Happy Wednesday!! Getting closer to that three day weekend!! Hope you don't have to work on Monday!

This year has been very different for me than in years past. As most of you know. Bill took a job with USBC working the Open Tournament in Reno, Nevada. He has been out there since the middle of February. I made three trips to see him and this last trip was also to bowl in the tournament. Bill was my doubles partner in the tournament and we bowl with a team from Pensacola.

Happy Tuesday! It's Tuesday again already??? I don't think my weekend was quite long enough....

I spent some time at the bowling center this weekend watching a Pro Tournament. Some of my friends were bowling in it and I was playing cheerleader. On Sunday I went to the beach for a while. It has gotten HOT here! But everyone that knows me knows that I like it that way.

I will be heading for Reno Wednesday afternoon. Our team is bowling in the USBC Open on Thursday and Friday. Wish us luck!! I will also get to spend time with my sweetheart. Only four more weeks and he will be home for the rest of the year. I have him thinking that I have a "honey do" list a mile long, lol!!

Happy Tuesday!!

I had such a great weekend! My daughter flew down for a visit. We hung out at the beach on Saturday. The water temps were perfect and we did a little swimming and body surfing, lol. On Saturday night we ended up at one of our favorite restaurants on Pensacola Beach called Surf Burger. If you are ever in the area, check it out. It is a little place with a lot of atmosphere and really good burgers, short boards (hot dogs) and hula chips (sweet potato fries).

My card is for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge~A Regal Pink Mambo. And... I am the hostess! I decided a monochromatic theme was in order and the dessert option~ use a round embellishment on your card! I used this weeks CPS Challenge #221 for the layout.

Thought I would show my face here on the blog! I made a trip to South Florida for the State Bowling Tournament last weekend and started two new summer bowling leagues this past week. I spent Memorial Day weekend catching up on all the yard work and was able to get a day at the beach in as well. Whew!

Operation Write Home and a PRIZE CHALLENGE

Happy Monday!

I want to take the time today to talk a little about an organization that I have become involved with. I am like so many cardmakers...We crank out cards and most of them do not get sent anywhere. In March, while reorganizing my craft space, I decided I needed to do something nice with the finished cards I have.

I currently have two nephews that serve in the Armed Forces. One is a Marine, stationed in Afganistan and the other is in the Air Force stationed at Hurlbert Field, just 15 miles down the road from me. I come from a family that every male served in one capacity or another in the military. It is only fitting that I turn to OPERATION WRITE HOME in finding a spot for my cards. I like that the organization keeps the ties between those serving away from home, close to their loved ones through creations that a lot of love was poured into to make.

On Friday, May 13th Operation Write Home sent out the ONE MILLIONth CARD to the USS Carl Vinson! Take a moment to watch the video. You might see one of your cards if you have been contributing.

I would like to start a new CHALLENGE. I may do this every couple of months with a different organization to kind of mix things up a little. For this challenge, I would like for you to contribute cards to Operation Write Home. It is easy and fun. Post a pic of your contribution on your blog and send me a copy of the email confirmation from Operation Write Home. I will randomly select a winner from all the participants and provide a prize of a $25.00 gift certificate to a stamp company of your choice. I would like for you to spread the word too. If you post a link on your blog back to this post, telling others about the challenge, I will put your name in the drawing a second time. So spread the word!! This challenge will run until June 15th.

You Make Me Smile Everyday

I'm BACK!! It has been a whirlwind three weeks and I am finally home and settling back in. I will get to my travels in other posts but wanted to post my card for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge. The colors are Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride and So Saffron. Dessert option: Flowers!

I pulled out a "never used" stamp set from Papertrey Ink and used all three colors with the images. Since the stamps were flowers, I was able to cover the dessert option too! Yeah!

My inspiration for this card comes from one that Betsey Veldman did last year when this set first came out. Here is a link to her card. The card is a pure CASE except for the colors.

Happy Tuesday!
I am blogging from home this week. What a flurry of activities I have had going for the past few weeks and there is no end in site for a couple of months anyway! My conference in Orlando was informative and I ended up reconnecting with some of my fellow Compliance Academy attendees from six years ago. I also took a trip over to Satellite Beach to visit a couple of special family friends and my best friend from high school. Our 40th class reunion is this year. My my....where did the time go? Now you know how old I am! lol!

I just don't know where the time goes! I thought I would be able to get a lot of things accomplished around the house while Bill is gone for a few months...NOT....lol! I did get the spring cleaning done and I am keeping up with my "extra" chores like lawn mowing, weed eating, taking out the trash... I went to Miami for a couple of days this week for work. Wonderfully warm!!

It's time for another Splitcoaststampers Color Combination Challenge and I am the hostess today! The challenge is "Soft Breezes for the Cake Walk" and the colors are Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake. And "Icing on the Cake" is the dessert option. I hope you all will come by and participate!

For my card I wanted to use some new SU goodies that came this past week. I am loving the two step bird punch!! For the dessert option I used "dragees" (pearls) on the leaves and in the corners of my card. The layout is from the EatSleepStamp Challenge #121.

My card today is for the Splitcoaststampers Color Combination Challenge~Crushing the Bashful Blues with Pizzaz and four others. As you know I am on the SCS Color Combo DT and each week there are four of us that take turns hostessing the challenge. This week it was Karen's turn and her post had me giggling! You have to check out her thread here and her solution to white gel pens that do not work anymore. I will have to pull out my 10 or 12 and give her solution a try! She picked some lovely colors this week don't you think? I know that spring is in the air!!

When I first started this card, it was for this weeks SCS Featured Stamper Challenge~ Neva Queen of Combos. I cased her card found HERE. I changed the colors, stamps and sentiment. I incorporated five challenges for this card in her honor. She is definitely the Queen of Challenge Combos!

Good Saturday Morning!
The weather is warmer and the flowers are blooming! I hope those of you in the northern hemisphere are getting glimpses of spring as well!

I have a Sunroom/Florida room at the back of my house. I always start my mornings in this room with breakfast, coffee and the morning news. When I walked in the room a few mornings ago, this beauty greeted me....

This is my Camilla bush in the back yard.....

I can't wait for the Azaleas, Gardenias and Hyacinths!!

Ok...for my post today I have a card that I made for a Splitcoaststampers Color Combination Challenge~ River Gray Whisper, that my PaperDoll friend, Julia was hosting. Such a soothing combination to work with! Love it!

I have been trying to make more CAS cards this year (no....not a new year's resolution, just a goal to expand my stamping horizons, lol!) and decided to use the Fall To Layout #125, from Clean and Simple.
