Happy Saturday!

Hope you have had a wonderful week and a wonderful weekend ahead. I am in Baton Rouge for the Memorial Day weekend visiting with my sweetheart. Seems like I have been on the road quite often the past few weeks and still have quite a bit of traveling to do in the next three weeks or so. Home always feels so good when I land there!

My card is for this weeks Raise The Bar Challenge~ Congrats (as in Grad cards). It is definitely that time of year! Everywhere I turn I am seeing those graduation gowns, lol. I decided to try a fancy fold card called a spring card. It makes a great graduation card. You can find the instructions in the resources section of Splitcoaststampers.

Happy Friday!
Hope you have had a wonderful week! I made a quick trip to Miami on Tuesday and I am off to Tennessee tomorrow. Spending time with my Mom for her birthday and my daughter is needing some wheels... I dread going car shopping. Not on my "favorites" list by any means, lol!

So glad the work week is about over. I just got home from a trip to Baton Rouge and Las Vegas last Sunday and I have spent this week playing catch-up. Just not enough hours in the day, lol! A Pacific Celery Cake

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I know you are wondering what is going on with the title of my post, lol. It is time for the SCS Color Combination Challenge and I am the hostess this week. I chose the colors of Pacific Point, Certainly Celery and Crumb Cake.

My fellow DT member, Mary, is visiting her family in California and she helped me with the title of the challenge. Seems everyone on the Pacific coast is into healthy eating so we are having "celery cake" today. I chose the dessert option of a wintry or Christmas card, as I have been wanting to case a card I saw quite some time ago by dizzymommie on Splitcoast.

My sweet snowman is colored with Copics on Blending Card, cut out, and attached to the crumb cake base.

Hello there!
I have a sweet card to share today. The Raise the Bar challenge this week is about May Day which is Lei Day in Hawaii - so any Hawaiian or tropical image. I knew I was going to use TGF's Hula Anya as soon as I saw the challenge. She is one of my all time favorite stamps! I used the colors from this week's JUGS challenge...orange, hot pink and lime green and the layout is this weeks Card Patterns Sketch #162.

I think I am a little late posting for the JUGS challenge, but oh well. Things get hard to keep up with when you are traveling and enjoying a couple of days off. KWIM?

I am heading over to Baton Rouge to spend a couple of days with my sweetheart before I head to Vegas on Saturday for a conference. It has been a few years since I have been to Vegas. I am a little late getting my card posted this week. A short hospital stay to have my heart's electrical system worked on. Last month it was the heart's plumbing system, lol. Hopefully we have things on the right track and if my body cooperates, we just might make it to 100!

I am spending the day in the middle of Florida for a change working at our office in Lake Mary. I love to travel even if it is for work. A change of scenery does the soul good sometimes!

Vicki is our hostess this week and I must say, I really had to stare at these colors for a while to figure out what I was going to make. Then I remembered Vicki had posted on her blog a technique about using Copics to mimic brayering, so I gave it a try. So the vertical layers of color are my dessert option, errr stripes, lol!

Happy Friday!
Another week passing by.....But we got Spring to come visit us for a while! It has been unseasonably warm here this winter. All of my azaleas have bloomed and the little Irises are up now.

My card today is for this weeks Raise The Bar Challenge~Four Leaf Clover....use something in increments of four...buttons, flowers, etc. I think my mojo decided to go on spring break as it took me four attempts before I had a card that was to my liking. My foursome is the four flowers in the DP. I used an idea from Nicole Heady's (PTI) blog for my layout.

Spring Poem

Happy Monday!!
I kind of disappeared from the blog this past week.....Life puts little bumps in the road as my Mom says. I had a big bump this past week. But, I will just jump in the ole Hummer and scale that mountain, lol!

This past weekend we had a Virtual Stamp Night over on Splitcoaststampers. I love doing the VSN's and this time I was a hostess for one of the challenges. My challenge had to do with the Spring Poem...

"Spring has sprung!", said the bumble bee.

"How do you know?", said the old oak tree.

"I just saw a daffodil blooming on a windy hill!"

I challenged everyone to make a card or project using one or more of the elements of the poem. It was a fun challenge!
I chose to use the Flourishes set Signs Of Spring, with the pretty daffodils and little chicks. The layout is the March Sketch For You To Try.

Hi There! TGIF!!
How has your week been? Big plans for the weekend?
We actually had sunshine yesterday and it was warm! Then the fog rolled back in....Don't think we are to see sunshine again until Sunday. If it does and it is halfway warm, I am off to the zoo! I want to take some pictures with a new telephoto lens I bought last weekend.

As you know Friday is Raise The Bar Challenge day. The challenge this week is sponsored by Paper and Such. Julie was kind enough to send us some supplies to play with. I used the colors from the CR84FN49 challenge on my card~ Kraft, Gray and Yellow. I love gray and yellow together but was not sure about the kraft. It turned out well, I think!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!!
We are on the downhill slide to the weekend! I sure could use a little sunlight. And they call this the sunshine state, lol. It has been foggy here for a couple of days and they don't show sun in the forecast until Sunday. I do not think I could live in the upper Northwest USA if it is like this all the time!

My card today is for the February Sketch For You To Try challenge. It is a monthly challenge over on Jen Del Muro's blog, I Heart To Stamp. My goal is to complete each monthly challenge this year. So far, so good!

Good Tuesday Morning to You!! How is your week going?
I am on the schedule for three rounds of physical therapy this week with a stress echo thrown in for good measure on Thursday. Seems my doctor loves putting me through that dang test every couple of years. And they wonder why I won't get on a treadmill for exercise, lol!
