Anise Anise

Happy Thursday to ya!! This is another card I did for this past weekend's Virtual Stamp Night over on Splitcoast. I love doing the challenges because you only have 45 minutes to complete your card, therefore you do not have time to get bogged down second guessing yourself about your card elements. This VSN Challenge~Go For The Gold! The challenge- use gold on your card. I have been trying to use more purple on my cards. I tend to go for pinks and greens! The stamps are a sneak peek of a Mark's Finest Papers March release that is coming up next week! For this card, I airbrushed the background of the image panel with Copics V15 and V17. I sprayed the lighter violet color. The center of the image panel was then masked with a Spellbinders oval cut out and the outside sprayed with the darker violet. The pearls on the butterfly are white ones that I colored with a Copic Y26 marker. Y26 is a good color to use for gold.

Gorgeous card!! Love the rich purple and touch of gold! Congrats on doing these kind of challenges. I'm afraid it would put too much pressure on me to "perform" and I'd freeze (creatively); may try it one day though. You're such an inspiration!!

That anise looks so beautiful embossed in gold especially on the purple. I am so happy to be getting an opportunity as a guest designer to work along MFP's superb team. It will be so fun!
