Love You Muchly!

We are counting down the hours now. The New Year is about 18 hours away! What plans do you have? The options around here are to go downtown and watch the "Pelican" drop (yes...we have a Pelican instead of a ball!), go out to the beach and watch the fireworks, or the usual party with friends or spend a quiet evening at home. We haven't decided what we are doing. Probably the quiet evening at home! This card is for this weeks Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #54. Had to get this one in before the end of the year! So Mercy, if you are reading this, you get to send the old year out for me with this post! I have bought all of the MFT Pure Innocence stamps. I couldn't resist!! They are almost as cute as Flopsey. I said "almost". Nothing can ever replace my love for Flopsey!
The stamp image is colored with Copics and cut out with a Spellbinders oval. I left the image in the die and sponged in the blue for the sky and the green for the grass. The colors in the Cosmo Cricket DP dictated the colors I chose for Flower Girls clothing. The dots on her top are done with a Copic Blender, lightly touched to the yellow. The flowers and hearts have touches of atYou Spica Clear for a little glimmer. Supplies: Stamps: MFT Pure Innocence Flower Girl Paper: White, Old Olive, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird DP Ink: Black Memento Other: Scallop Border Punch, Oval Spellbinders, Ribbon, Clear atYou Spica Copics: E31, E33, E37, E50, E51, Y21, Y26, YG93, YG95, R02, R08, BG72 I want to thank everyone that has visited my blog since I started it eleven months ago. I have enjoyed sharing my "Art Full Journey" with you and enjoyed even more reading the comments that have been left with thoughtfullness and kindness. Have a Wonderful and Safe New Years Eve. See you next year!! Enjoy!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

Wow...this was not an easy one. The only thing that can have color is the image! I used one of Mo's new images~ Pug Love. Isn't he just adorable?
He is colored with Copics and the background shading is with a Prismacolor Pencil. I added a touch of Glossy Accents to his eyes and glitter to the ruffles on the heart.

Smilyn Steph Inspired

Hello Everyone!! We traveled back to Florida yesterday from Tennessee and it is nice to be home in a much warmer climate! :-) My cat stuck to me like glue last night so I stayed out of my craft room and just caught up on emails and facebook stuff. I am back in my craft room today though! The Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS today was for Smilyn Steph. She hostesses the Saturday Inspiration Challenges each week and her gallery is a lot of fun to browse through. I had a hard time picking one card but finally landed on this one for my CASE.

The butterfly in the Nature/Graceful Journey stamp set by Tattered Angels is one of my favorites. The owl is on my list to use too, but I keep reaching for that butterfly! For my card, I changed the colors and stamp set and used the sketch from this weeks Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge for the layout. I try to do Mercy's Challenge each week and was afraid this weeks would not get done due to traveling. But, it got done today, with a day to spare!! Supplies: Stamps: Marks Finest Papers Paper: MFP Tan Line, Snowstorm Smooth and Basic Grey Indian Summer Ink: Brown Accessories: MFP Ribbon and Charm, CB EF Enjoy!

Happily Ever After

Happy Wednesday!!
I am getting this posted to my blog, just under the wire for a couple of challenges. Funny how I all of a sudden have several cards/projects to post and not enough blog days! Do you ever have that problem? Me, never!
I did this card for last weeks SCS Sketch Challenge. It also fits the Flutter By Wednesday #88 that was a sketch very similar to the SCS one. For FBW you also needed to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. Such awesome challenges!!

The Basic Grey paper, stamps, ribbon, rub-on and pearls can all be found at Mark's Finest Papers
Hope your week is going well!

Sweet Heart

Hi There and Happy Monday!!
Hope your weekend went well. We traveled to Tennessee Saturday and even came through some snow showers! It is really cold here as well as in Gulf Breeze, Florida!! 32 Degrees.....brrrrrr!!
My card today is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #52. Love doing her sketch challenges each week!
The sketch had a snowflake on it but I just could not bring myself to do another Holiday or Wintry card. So I opted for a Valentine theme with Flopsey. He is such a cute character! Every time MFT comes out with a Flopsey, I scarf him up! Flopsey is colored with Copics and cut out. He is layered on Black and Regal Rose ovals cut with Spellbinders. The DP is from the Paper Studio and the panel is cut with a MS Heart Border Punch. I cut a couple of the hearts out from the paper and placed at the top of the ovals and added three tiny hearts at the bottom right. The sentiment is a rub on.
Enjoy!

Time To Relax

Happy Saturday!! All of my Holiday tasks and to-do's are winding down and now it is almost time "To Relax"!! I made this card for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge~Fabulous Stationary. I chose this stationary for my inspiration piece. I loved the color scheme and the living room scene, so I pulled out the Papertrey Ink stamp set "On My Couch" for this one. The card layout is this weeks MoJo Monday Challenge #117. I am on my way to Tennessee again for the holidays. I will definitely use the time riding in the car to finish up a couple of things. That way I can definitely relax with family and friends! Supplies: Stamps: Papertrey Ink On My Couch Paper: Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado Ink: Brown Memento Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Copics BG10, E50, Ribbon, Spellbinders Circles Enjoy!

A Merry Moose Christmas

Happy Thursday!! Can you believe a week from now it will be Christmas? Where does the time go? Do you have all your shopping done, cards mailed and projects completed?? Not me! But I am getting close! This card is for two challenges this week. The Friday Sketchers#82 and Crazy4Challenges#15. The C4C challenge is to make a card using snowflakes and/or snowmen. I used a cute digi from KLM Digital Designs December releases. The image was replicated and flipped horizontally so that I could get the moose facing each other.

Come on over and join in the chat!
The requirements for the cards/projects for the blog hop~A Holiday theme using Anya or Ian stamps.
Since I live in Florida, and the temperatures around the holidays are usually warm....I decided a Christmas card with a tropical flair was in order!! I pulled out my all time favorite Anya stamp, Mermaid Anya, and went to work on my card. She is colored with Copics in the traditional holiday colors and cut out. Just a few touches of white liquid pearls on her fin and in her hair. The beach/sand is DP that was torn, sponged and layered. The water is another piece of DP. You cannot have a tropical Holiday without a palm tree that is decorated with ornaments, right??! The ornaments are punched from red glitter paper.

Birthday Fun and Tree Pics (A Non Card Post)

****Check out my post HERE for Scor-Pal blog candy to be given away on 12/15!****
Happy Friday!!
My birthday was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. My lovely daughter brought me the most beautiful pink roses!! She is such a Sweetie!!
Then... my all time favorite cake that my Mom makes every year for me! It is a devils food with the layers cut in half and filled with whipped cream. Then frosted with "made from scratch" fudge frosting. YUM YUM!! That is Bill with the "torch" to light the candles, and of course I am only as old as the number of candles on the cake! (hehehe)

When we returned from our Thanksgiving weekend trip to Tennessee, I put up the Christmas Tree. In an earlier post I talked about moving to Florida and my tastes changing. I decided I wanted a White Tree, with ornaments the colors of bright green, turquoise and pink. Some of my readers wanted to see pictures and one of my readers commented on how the colors represented the beautiful blue ocean water, the luscious green palm trees and of course Pink Flamingos!! How perfect for my Tropical Tree!

A close-up of some of the ornaments. Yes... I had to put a fish on the tree! He is so pretty!

Hope you have enjoyed a little bit of my world. Have a Fantastic Weekend!

Hi All! If you missed yesterday's post and announcement, make sure and scroll down to yesterday's post to read the details about MFP Blog Hop. I will put the information and instructions at the end of this post as well. For today's card I used the Flourishes Lamp Post stamp set. (which you can get at Mark's Finest Papers). I made this card three times before I was finally satisfied with the end result. I tried airbrushing.... I tried sponging....Guess "third time is charm?" :-)
Click Photo to Enlarge
The image was stamped on MFP Snow Storm Smooth. I masked the image and sponged two shades of blue ink for the night sky. Then the image was colored with Copics. What would a holiday lamp post be without some snow? I added Polar White Flower Soft at the bottom of the lamp post and touches of Star Dust Stickles in the sky. The light and wreath have touches of atYou Spica Clear, Yellow and Gold. The background paper panels are MFP Spring Green and China Blue Eyes. Just as a reminder... Home Made

*****Check out my 11/23 post for the blog candy giveaway running till 12/15!*****
Happy Thursday!!
This week is flying by!!
Do you have family traditions for the holidays that you have kept going over the years? Or have those traditions transformed into new traditions?
One of our family traditions centered around the grandchildren. Shortly before Christmas, all of my nieces and nephews would gather at my house for an afternoon of cookie baking. We started with sugar cookies cut with all the different holiday shapes. My mom would bring her buttercream icing in all the holiday colors and of course there was an assortment of sprinkles and candy! As the children grew up, I introduced gingerbread houses to them. What a fun time! The children have grown and most are in their twenties now. Our tradition was retired a couple of years ago, but the memories will always be there to bring a smile.
Today's project is the end result of an idea I had ever since the release of the new Papertrey Ink Home Made Timeless Template and coordinating stamp set. Our family tradition came to mind as well as those gingerbread houses we worked on! I actually used a page in the current Harry and David catalog as inspiration for my gingerbread house. You can see the Gingerman Tower here.

Holly Jolly!

*****Check out my post on 11/23 for awesome blog candy being offered!*****
Happy Wednesday!! I hope you have a "Jolly" hump day!
Trying to get back in the grind after traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday has been slow to say the least. I bowl on Monday and Thursday nights so that leaves Tuesday and Wed to catch up or try to get ahead. :-)
I did get the Christmas tree up last night and will add ornaments a little at a time. Since my "little elves" did not travel to Florida this year, I am on my own with decorating the tree. Cannot get Bill to help. I think he has an aversion to tree trimming. He seems to disappear when I mention it! Do you have husbands or boyfriends that are the same way?
Yesterday was Tuesday and that means a new sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #50! I have all my Christmas cards finished but I keep pulling out stamps that I haven't used yet. For Mercy's challenge I chose to use Papertrey Ink's Holiday Button Bits. Love the sketch and the card came together easily!
I picked out the colors of Pure Poppy and Ripe Avocado. For the third color I thought a yellow gold would be pretty and went with Summer Sunrise. Looks pretty together, don't you think? The DP is Bitty Dot Basics. The sentiment is part of the stamp set and is stamped with white craft ink.
Supplies:
Stamps and Paper: All from Papertrey Ink
Ink: White Craft and Old Olive
Accessories: PTI Vintage Holiday Mix buttons, MS Border Punch, Spellbinders Circles
Enjoy!

******Check out my post on 11/23 for the Blog Candy offering!!******
Happy December 1st!! This is Baking Snowman, one of KLM's new releases today. She is so adorable!! You can check out all the new releases for December here.

For this card I wanted to participate in this weeks Crazy4Challenges #13, Punch Happy. The challenge is to use at least one punch when making your card. I used Spellbinders Mega Rectangles to cut out the image. The coloring is done with Copics. Now that the picture is uploaded, my little snowgirl looks washed out. Maybe a little blush on her cheeks would perk her up? The paper is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. A ribbon/bow and Basic Grey pearls in the corners finishes the card. Copics Used: E31, E33, R29, RV14, BG0000, C00 Enjoy!
