Weekend Sketch Challenge #106 or 107?

*****Check out my post on 11/23 for the Blog Candy giveaway!!*****
Happy Wednesday everyone!! You know what that means!! Tomorrow is the big T day! When you read this I should be on the road to Tennessee. I haven't participated in the WSC for a couple of weeks and this KLM digistamp fit well with this weeks sketch. When I started to do this post I thought I was going nuts. I thought I saw 107 on Beate's blog post, but the sketch I printed had 106! I went and double checked and it is 106 in one place and 107 in another. Not going nuts!! (although some people would tell you I am....heehee) So I am dubbing this the WSC OneOSixSevener!! I am sure Beate won't mind! :-)

The image is colored with Copics. I applied some Baby Blue stickles on the N and Red atYou Spica to the holly berries on the L. Of course the little caroler had to have fuzzy trim on his hat and collar, so I added white flock. The paper is my favorite this season~Paper Salon Holiday stack. I used a MS punch around the page punch for the red border. Check out all the great digital stamps at KLM Digistamps! They have a Thanksgiving sale (15% off) that goes until Dec 1st and then new releases on December 1st.

Copics Used: R24, R27, E00, E11, E25, BG10, BG72, B91, YG93, YG95 Enjoy!

******Check out my post on 11/23 for the Blog Candy offering!!******
This card is for this week's SCS Featured Stamper Challenge~ "I'm A Big Fan of.....BIGGAN". Birgit does amazing techniques with her cards. Love her gallery! I chose Birgit's card here for my CASE. I changed the stamp set, colors, frame shapes and added a bow and sentiment. I love this stamp set from Papertrey Ink and their Bitty Dot Basics in Aqua Mist is so pretty! I was having a hard time trying to decide on the color of the bow. Aqua or white...Decided the white added an elegant touch to the card!

Happy Monday Everyone!! This week is going to be a busy one, even though I only have to work two days. I will be heading up to Tennessee on Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving and my Birthday with my family. Yes....another birthday! The years just seem to fly by as you get older! So to celebrate my birthday I am giving away a fabulous, brand spanking new, never opened, SCOR~PAL!! This is one tool that I dearly love and have used more than any of my other tools (except maybe the Nesties.... :-)). If you would like a chance to win, please become a follower to my blog and leave me a comment on this post. If you are already a follower, just leave me a comment. Tell all your friends to head on over here as well! On December 15th, I will use Random Generator to choose a winner and will have the Scor Pal sent out in time for Christmas!! The News~ I have been asked by Faith Hofrichter to be on the design team for Mark's Finest Papers. I am so EXCITED!! I have added the blog button on my sidebar. Click on it and go check out all the fabulous things in the store! They are the first independent distributors of Flourishes stamps. For those of you that have been following me, you know I love Flourishes images. Mark's Finest Papers also carries a great line of paper. Heavyweight and beautiful colors. I love working with their Snow Storm Smooth for coloring with Copics. Best of all, is getting to spend time with the other uber talented ladies on the design team. Some are Splitcoast notoriety!!! Enjoy your day! I will be back tomorrow with a card post!

Trimmed With Love

Hi Everyone! I have quite a few stamp sets that I haven't inked up yet. Some are Holiday related that I will use for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge starting in January. Since I have been making Christmas cards all year long, the new sets I have will get put to good use for next years card making. I am such a dedicated "Flopsey Collector"!! Doesn't he look sweet putting the star on the top of the tree? This is one of my "uninked" sets. Thought he would be perfect for this weeks Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge! The sketch was flipped clockwise since Flopsey is so tall. I keep reaching for the Paper Salon Holiday stack of paper. It has been my "most used" paper this season. Don't you just love having a stack get used up?! Did I neglect to mention that I am a "paper collector" too....:-)

Pillow Box Cocoa Mug

Happy Thursday!! The weather outside isn’t frightful, but it sure is cold here in NW Florida. 42 Degrees when I got up this morning!! So….for those cold mornings....what could be better than a “mug” of Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows and a Biscotti? My mug is made using the Sizzix Pillow Box die. You can find the directions for a pillow box bucket on Splitcoast here. I changed the bucket to a mug by leaving off the bucket handle and cutting a seven inch strip of cardstock placing it on the side of the bucket for a mug. This fits this weeks Stampin B’s Challenge to make anything but a card.

Virtual Stamp Night, "Tonight We're Gonna..."

Party Like It's 1999! This card is for this past weekends VSN Challenge~ Tonight We Are Going to Party Like its 1999~The challenge was to look at the "Top 100 Song Titles" from the year 1999, and then use one to inspire a card! It could be the song title, a lyric in the song, the video on MTV, or the singer! I chose the song title "Black Balloon" by the Goo Goo Dolls for my inspiration. If you ever get the chance, try participating in a SCS Virtual Stamp Night. They are a lot of fun and talk about stretching your mind way outside the box!! Each hour they post a new challenge and you have 45 minutes to complete your card for the challenge. The heart starts thumping and the brain goes into hyper drive! You definitely get a good night sleep after a VSN!!

Tuesday is Blooming with Happiness!! This is one of the cards I made Friday night for the VSN Challenge, "Whodunnit, The Case of the Bellies". The instructions were~to go over the top…. add lots of ruffles and frills. Pick a card...from the SCS gallery or any blog and CASE it over the top!!! Change at least 2 things from the original card and add lots of "bellies". You must include ruffles by ruching your ribbon....I chose this card as my CASE. (Thank you AGMommyof2!!) I changed the image, colors, shifted the layout and added the runched ribbon. The image is Stamping Bella's Eloise Greengrass. I just love her! She came to me through the SCS WishRak forum from Cathy Alstott (aka Lexant). Thank you Cathy!!

Quilt Snowgirl

Hi There!! Isn't this little snowgirl precious?!! You can find her and other fabulous digistamps at KLM Digital Designs. I just had to color her up using my Christmas Tree colors. When I moved to Florida a couple of years ago, I think I turned into a different person! I moved away from the traditional Christmas colors (besides I left all my decorations with my sweet daughter) and bought a white tree. All the decorations on the tree are pink, turquoise and lime green. It looks spectacular in my sunroom!

I used this weeks Friday Sketchers #77 Challenge sketch for the layout. The snowgirl is colored with Copics and cut out using Spellbinders circles and layered on top of glittered snowflakes. The paper colors are Bazzil White, Bazzil Parakeet, Taken with Teal and Pink Passion. A little addition of Inkssentials pen white dots and Kaiser pearls finishes the card. Copics Used: Bg0000, Bg13, BG15, YG03, RV0000, RV14, RV17 Enjoy!

Need A Couch Day?

Yeah! It's Hump Day!! I did not do any posting yesterday due to Tropical Storm Ida moving through. The power went off and on several times, so I stayed away from the computer. But I did work on cards!! Had my trusty candle sitting next to me just in case. :) This card is for yesterday's SCS Color Combo "Very Bravo Kraft!". I love this combo and just had to play. It has been forever since I did the CC Challenge. I of course went right to the sketch on Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge for the layout!

Doorbells and Sleigh Bells...

Is it really Monday already? And... we now have a hurricane to keep an eye on! This card is for the Flourishes "My Favorite Things" Challenge. All you need to do is be inspired in some way by the words of the decades old Christmas favorite from the Sound of Music! I love this song and used the line Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles, as my inspiration.
The wreath is from the Flourishes Christmas Wreath Set. It is colored with Copics and cut out. The "ornaments" on the wreath are the same colors as what is on my own Christmas tree. I had some wood look paper that I cut the door panels from, and layered them on Taken With Teal and a White card base. The edges of the door panels are sponged with Close to Cocoa. The doorknob is made with the I-Top tool and Pewter Metallic paper. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Copics Used: BG13, BG15, BG18, G21, G24, G28, YG03, E53, E37, RV14 and RV17

Giftn' Turtle

Happy Saturday!! Last Saturday I was hours away from home, stamping up a frenzy with 25 other stampers! Where did the week go?? It is good to be home, but in a few days I am sure I will have the itch to travel somewhere else. "Wanderlust" is one of my middle names!! This card is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge~ Jonathan Adler. This website is very different from others on the Inspiration Challenge, but as soon as I saw the turtle, the idea was there! I wanted to make a card to send to Noah Biorkman and since he is five years old, this image would be appropriate for a special Christmas card. Noah has a terminal illness and his special request is to receive a LOT of Christmas cards. You can read about Noah here.

The image is from KLM Digital Designs and this cutie is "Gregory the Giftn Turtle". He doesn't come with a Santa Hat but I added one to make this a Christmas themed card. The layout is from this weeks Weekend Sketch Challenge. A Gift For You

Happy Friday!! Here is a quick little card for the holidays. The colors are not traditional, but this year I have been seeing a lot of non-traditional colors that are just yummy!! The layout is from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #46.

The stamp set is Holiday Button Bits from PTI. What a super fun set to work with! I stamped the gingerbread boy with Close to Cocoa on Ivory cardstock and cut out with Spellbinders Ovals. All of the paper is from the MM Cosmopolitan Collection. A few finishing touches added with the sewing and buttons. I am off to work and then have a lot of "stamping" to catch up on this weekend after being gone for several days. Enjoy!

Things To Do....

It's a "Things To Do Tuesday"!

I am still far away from home. My journey started last Thursday traveling to Stephen Foster Cultural Center Park for Faith's Stamping Retreat. WOW, talk about a stamping frenzy!! And what fun being in the company of lots of SCS'ers including some notoriety. On Sunday, Bill and I left the park and headed to Jacksonville airport for a flight to Miami. We arrived at the South Seas Hotel on Miami Beach about 8pm. After a couple of days of meetings and we are heading home to Gulf Breeze today. I did get to laze it in a hammock last evening, swinging between two palm trees under the moonlight by the beach..... (wink wink)

So... in order to get caught up, there are lots of things on my "To Do List". What better way to keep lists than with these altered notepads! The stamp set is "Take Note" concepted by Michelle Wooderson of the Papertrey Ink Design Team. PTI even has the notepads to go inside! Nicole has a free template for the notepad cover on her blog.

The paper is from Basic Grey and the sentiment is layered on a Spellbinders inverted scallop circle. These are definitely "on my list" for holiday gift giving! Enjoy!
