There was a Mini
VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) this past
Friday on
SCS and I chose one of the five challenges to make a card.
VSN's are an awesome way to get outside your comfort zone and create a card in 45 minutes or less! The mini and the big
VSN (coming in July/August) theme is about food. The challenge I chose was "Darth
Tator Skins". You had to make a card using the colors brown, white, yellow, green and a secret
ingredient "red".
I had my new
MFT Flopsey Birthday set sitting on my table, so he was the chosen culprit for this card.! The first thing I did was put Liquid Applique on the top of the cake and the first layer. This is supposed to dry overnight, but I did not have till in the morning to finish the card.
Flopsey and the cake are colored with
Copics. I added a K&Co felt flower for the secret ingredient. When I heated the frosting about 35 minutes later, it turned out fabulous!

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT Birthday Flopsey
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, GinaK White
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Copics Y21, R27, E31, E33, RV11, Nestabilities, SU Scallop Border Punch, 1/8 Circle punch, K&Co Felt Flower
Enjoy!

so cute!
Wow, I love it!! How cute is this! I'm not sure I could handle the time crunch - I think I would be like a deer in the headlights, but who knows?...I should try it. This turned out adorable!
What a cute card! I love how you did the frosting! I've never done a VSN before, because I don't do well under time constraints, but you did a fabulous job! Love this MFT image! One of my Favorites!
Super cute card! I don't reach for my Liquid Applique enough but I love the texture and dimension it gives. I would be "panicked" trying to make a card within 45 min.! Good for you!
I love your birthday flopsey
