As usual I was down to the last minute in completing my cards for the
SCS Christmas Card Challenge!
With all the continual releases of new toys and techniques in the stamping world, do you ever feel overwhelmed and just want to get back to basics? I am thinking I must be at that point because my last card was a
CAS (clean and simple) and the one I chose for this challenge is as well.
When I first started stamping I would meet up with several ladies once a month to share ideas and to stamp. One of these ladies was Deb Golden. I was always amazed at how she could come up with ideas quickly and her cards always had a certain pizazz. I pulled out one of her sample cards from my stash and decided to case it for my Christmas cards this month.
The stamp set is Holiday Hello from
SU. I stamped the snowman with a set of trees on each side of him in Glorious Green on a white panel. The panel was then embossed with the CB Swiss Dot
EF. I then stamped two more sets of trees and cut them out. They are popped up on each side of the first set of trees and offset down onto the green panel for some depth. A touch of quickie glue and dazzling diamonds finishes the card. Easy
peasy!!
I made five of these for my monthly quota. I now have 25 Christmas cards completed!
Enjoy!

Peggy I lOVE this. How quick and easy and soooo cute! The swiss dots sure make it look like it's snowing. What a great card!
Way to go Peggy! I too just just realized that I need to do "more" clean and simple cards ! They give you instant satisfaction with time to spare to. Perfect !
Congratulations on getting your May Xmas cards done for CCC! It is a challenge, isn't it. But think how happy we will be in November/December when everyone else is going crazy trying to finish them and ours are DONE already! They will all be so jealous! LOL! Love your card. Love the layered forest of trees!
Oh, I love this card. The green and white look so fresh and inviting. I love how you layered the trees and the embossed background adds a really nice touch.
