The Beach and Flowers!! I love going to the beach and I love looking at beautiful flowers! It is even better when the flowers are growing in your own yard!!
We finally had sunshine on Memorial Day and took a drive to Navarre Beach which is about 12 miles from our house going toward Fort Walton Beach. When summer comes, Pensacola Beach becomes quite busy and crowded. Each year they have seen double digit increases in the visitors there. So we usually head in the other direction to Florida's "Best kept secret", Navarre Beach.
It was a beautiful day!!
My daughter and her fiance came in this past Saturday from Tennesse for a visit. While I was waiting for them to arrive, I wandered around the yard (and the next door neighbor's yard....) taking pictures of the new flowers that are blooming. I have two beautiful Hydrangea bushes on the side of the house between the Gardenias, that are now blooming. They are a deep pink, almost purple. Just beautiful!
These Lilies are in my neighbors yard. They stand over six feet high and are just gorgeous!

Yeah its amazing how fascinating it can be to stare into the deep ocean for a good chunk of time. This reminds me... its time to do some family vacation planning, thanks for the reminder :)
