Crazy4Challenges~ Tag Your It!

Happy Saturday!
Do you have a little bit cooler weather like we do? September is just around the corner!

This is the last challenge of the month for the Crazies. Frances says to use a tag on whatever you create. It can be an individual tag or you can add the tag to your project.

I chose to use a stamp set that I bought a couple of years ago when I was in Phoenix for a work conference. Do you have stamp sets like that? Lol! The set has a big tag that is perfect for A2 size cards.

If you decide to play along with us upload your card/project to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C301. Don't forget to link it on Inlinkz on the Crazy4Challenges Blog, so that everyone else can see it too. Go check out what the Crazies came up with this week!

Crazy4Challenges #300!

Happy Saturday!

Today's challenge is our 300th! The challenge blog was started back in September 2009. Wow, we have had lots of fun during that time. Thank you all for helping make this Challenge such a success and we hope you will continue playing along with us for the next 300 challenges :)

August 23rd is Ride the Wind Day, so for the challenge this week create a card that features something that relies on the wind eg kite, hot air balloon, pinwheel, sailboat, windmill, balloons etc.

I have been wanting to use the little MFT Sailboat. Perfect for today's challenge!

The card layout is from this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.

And the colors from this months MFT Color Challenge

If you decide to play along with us upload your card/project to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C300. Don't forget to link it on Inlinkz on the Crazy4Challenges Blog, so that everyone else can see it too. Go check out what the Crazies came up with this week!

Crazy4Challenges Sketch Saturday!

Happy Saturday!
I am bringing you this post from beautiful East Tennessee. I don't think it got out of the seventies yesterday with the cloud cover...

Today is sketch day with the Crazies.

I love the MFT Blueprints 26 and the MFT plaid papers. I used MFT Limelight and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink to sponge the colors on the balloons. Highlights were done with a Faber Castell White PITT pen.

Crazy4Challenges~ Lighthouse Day

Happy Saturday!
I am hanging out in Florida this weekend enjoying the salty air.

It is time for the Crazies and Frances says, "the 7th August was National Lighthouse Day, so for our challenge today create a card featuring a lighthouse. If you don't have a lighthouse, think where you would find a lighthouse … near the sea, beach etc and use that for your inspiration."

I don't have a lighthouse stamp and decided to break out the Silhouette machine. It has been forever since I made a square card!

Life Is Better...

Happy Tuesday!!
How is your week going? I am looking forward to some beach time this coming weekend!

My card is for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge~ Elegant and Delightful Cajun Meadow. Mary is our hostess this week and I really had to think about what kind of card to do with these colors. Fall? Nope not ready for that yet, Halloween? Maybe... Sunset scene? Yes!

I wanted to use this new MFT stamp set and today's colors are perfect for a sunset scene with a couple of cute owls. I wet the watercolor paper quite a bit and layered on the four colors. The owls and tree are colored with Copics.

Enjoy!

Stamps: MFT Things With Wings and Tickled Pink
Paper: Watercolor, White
Ink: Versamark, Elegant Eggplant, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Delightful Dijon

Crazy4Challenges~ HAPPY

Happy Saturday!
Can you believe it is AUGUST? Oh my. My summer is quickly passing by.....

With it being a new month, we have new challenges hosted by Frances and a new guest designer Anna Wight with us.
Frances says, "According to the holiday insights web site which list special days for the month, this month is Admit You're Happy Month. To kick start our month of challenges let’s create a card that includes the word 'Happy' on it."

I have been taking the Online Card Class "Background Check" and wanted to give one of Jennifer McGuire's techniques a try.  I sponged distress inks on a card front gradient style. Placed a stencil on top and pounced a baby wipe all over. Then, I cut six strips at an angle on the card front and placed a piece of acetate behind the top piece and added back every other strip at the bottom. The "happy" is cut from metallic card stock. The birthday sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card.

If you decide to play along with us upload your card/project to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C297. Don't forget to link it on Inlinkz on the Crazy4Challenges Blog, so that everyone else can see it too. Go check out what the Crazies came up with this week!

My card is for this weeks' SCS Color Combination Challenge~ Roses and Mints are a Tip Top Treat.
Love the colors Barbara picked and I have this new stamp that needed to be inked up. Added some splatters to the card front and dyed some satin ribbon with Tip Top Taupe re-inker. Yes! Dessert again this week! A touch of glossy accents on the heart finishes the card.
