It's Oh, Alice! Challenge Time!

CHAPTER 3: Painting the Roses Red

"Would you tell me please," said Alice a little timidly, "Why are you painting those roses?"
Five and Seven said nothing, but looked at Two. Two began in a low voice, "Why the fact is, you see, Miss, this here ought to have been a Red rose tree, and we put a white one in by mistake"...

Welcome back! We're painting the Roses RED...and blue...and purple....and hey, we're painting our NAILS too! Check out this AWESOMELY ALICE inspiration picture featuring this SUPER cool new O.P.I. Polish collection, "Wonderland".

Before we get started, the Oh,Alice! Blog has a SPECIAL Tea Party Guest joining us for the month of March! Please welcome ERIN LEVEILLE as our March Tea Party Guest! Erin BLEW US AWAY with this card she submitted for the 1st Oh, Alice challenge and we are thrilled to have her at our Mad Tea party this month :) WELCOME ERIN!

What's more? We have a FABULOUS sponsor for this challenge-KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS! It just so happens that Kim is releasing some AWESOME Tea Party images this month and was gracious enough to donate a PRIZE pack of the new rubber stamp collection featuring these awesome new images! The DT is THRILLED to have been able to work with them, too!
WOW! Aren't they awesome?

For my card today, I used Kraftin Kimmie's Giselle. She is colored with Copics and I framed her with a piece of cardstock cut out with a Spellbinders Labels 4 die to mimic the keyholes in the picture above. Isn't she just adorable?! The layout is from this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #63. Just love her sketches! I found some sparkly ribbon in my stash for the ribbon/bow and added a new Prima flower to the top. The paper is Wisteria Bazzil and Basic Grey Euphoria DP.

Anise Anise

Happy Thursday to ya!!

This is another card I did for this past weekend's Virtual Stamp Night over on Splitcoast. I love doing the challenges because you only have 45 minutes to complete your card, therefore you do not have time to get bogged down second guessing yourself about your card elements.

This VSN Challenge~Go For The Gold! The challenge- use gold on your card. I have been trying to use more purple on my cards. I tend to go for pinks and greens! The stamps are a sneak peek of a Mark's Finest Papers March release that is coming up next week!

For this card, I airbrushed the background of the image panel with Copics V15 and V17. I sprayed the lighter violet color. The center of the image panel was then masked with a Spellbinders oval cut out and the outside sprayed with the darker violet. The pearls on the butterfly are white ones that I colored with a Copic Y26 marker. Y26 is a good color to use for gold.

Ice Skating Inspiration

It's Over the Hump Day!!

This card was for last Saturday's SCS Inspiration Challenge~Ice Skating Costumes.

All I can say is Wow! I am so amazed at all the beautiful and unique costumes on the sites that Steph gave us to look at for inspiration. I chose The Kerr's costumes for my inspiration. I love her shirt and their country theme, so I went with Blackberries and Plaid. The sentiment on the inside of the card states "Good Friends are Sweeter Than Any Ripened Fruit". The layout is from this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge #91. All supplies for my card can be found at Mark's Finest Papers.

What's The Story?

Happy Tuesday!

My card today is for two My Favorite Things Challenges. One is the Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge to use Flopsey "unfinished" and the Second is the Monthly Guest Designer Challenge to use booktext or music paper. I had just the right Flopsey for these challenges!

This is "What's The Story" Flopsey stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on Ivory Bazzil. "She" is left unfinished. The booktext is a digital paper I downloaded from The Vintage Moth. I used the "H" page. You can see "Hare" in the upper right and "Happy" on the middle left. Great words for this card don't you think?

A Featured Christmas MoJo

Hi There!

What a busy stamping day yesterday. I participated in the SCS Virtual Stamp Night challenges and also did the SCS Inspiration Challenge and today I have the SCS Featured Stamper Challenge card to show you.

Today's SCS Featured Stamper is ~Sister of Davy~ Angela Crockett. I loved going through her gallery and when I came upon this card I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I have been wanting to make some little round cards and I just got some Taylored Expressions "Wings of Joy" stamp images in the mail from a WishRak friend today! The card layout is this weeks MoJo Monday Sketch #127. I actually have five of these cards on my table to meet my monthly obligation for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge!

CHAPTER TWO: Running in a SKETCHY circle...

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don’t much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn’t matter which way you go," said the Cat.

We have a fabulous sketch challenge today designed by our own TWISTED Tea Party member, Mary Giles! Here is the sketch:

We are VERY honored to be introducing our first sponsor to you today. Kathy from Pixie Dust Studios has VERY generously let us work with her new Digis from her "Down the Rabbit Hole" collection debuting March 1st! What's more? ONE LUCKY WINNER will be chosen at random from this week's participants to choose THREE FREE DIGIS of their choice from Pixie Dust Studios! Thank you Kathy!

Well, you know that Alice in Wonderland had the the theme of playing cards intermingled throughout the story. So, I pulled out an over sized playing card from my stash and decided that would be a good starting point for using the "Opposites Attract" digi from Pixie Dust Studios.
Of course I had to use the "two" of spades card! The sweet little couple is colored with Copics, cut out and popped up on a Ruby Red panel that was cut with a circle Spellbinders. The spade behind the couple was cut out from the DP (Creative Imaginations). The sentiment is a Pixie Dust digi too! I found a couple of heart beads and added them in "opposite" corners of the card.

You have until FRIDAY, March 5, 2010 at 10pm CST to upload your card or project using the above sketch as your muse! Upload to your blog or public gallery (please use keyword OAC2) and LINK your name on the Oh,Alice! Blog using Mr. Linky!

We can't WAIT to see your creations!

Clean and Simple Monogram Card

Happy Thursday to Ya!

It is cold again, here in "sunny" Florida. Hopefully it will warm up some for the weekend!

My card today is my attempt at Clean and Simple. I used supplies from the February Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions. Love the black and white theme in the kit with a pop of color! The monograms are a digital download from Taylored Expressions as well call Many Marvelous Monograms. I embossed the pink panel with a CB folder.

If you would like to see other cards made from the kit, check out Taylor's Blog and a there is a link to a few of her design team members that did cards as well.

I think I will do a set of these cards as a little gift to my favorite person who's name starts with an "A". That would be my mom "Audrey"! Love you Mom!!

This Friday and Saturday is Virtual Stamp Night on Splitcoast. The fun begins Friday night at 6pm EST. Come on over and join in the fun! AND....
On Saturday there will be new challenge posted on the Oh, Alice! Blog and yes....there is a prize again this week!

Enjoy!
