Crazy4Challenges~ Butterflies

Happy Saturday!!

It is beautiful outside and I am going to take some "me" time and head to the beach for a couple of hours! I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned or maybe it is a quiet one, just relaxing.

Today is my last post for the Crazy4Challenges team. I have had three years of challenge fun with Frances and the team!

Karen is finishing up this month with a butterfly challenge. She says, "Add a BUTTERFLY! I love butterflies, so have a butterfly be the main focus of your card this week. It that doesn't work for you- just add a butterfly."

I have some Stampin Up designer paper that I have never used and love the colors and flowers in the print. Perfect background for a butterfly!

The layout for my card is from this week's Mojo Monday Challenge #453.

Crazy4Challenges #341~ Sketch Time!

Good Saturday morning!
Has your weekend gotten off to a good start?  Mine is headed in the right direction, lol!

Today's challenge from the Crazies is a Sketch.

This one was fun. My daughter wanted me to use some little crab stickers she picked up from the store yesterday and when I looked at the sketch I saw sunshine or moonlight. I went with a moonlit beach scene.

I created a circle mask for the moon and sponged distress inks for the layers of color. The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Saying Stuff set, stamped with Versamark and embossed with white EP. The little crab is a Jolee's Boutique sticker.

Crazy4Challenges #340~ Masculine Cards

Happy Saturday!!
I have ended up in Reno one more time this year to see my sweetheart. Guess I could  hand deliver today's card to him, lol!

Karen is our hostess this month and today's challenge is a masculine card.  I picked up this new stamp set the other day and wanted to use it. It is by Richard Garay and is called "Hello Note". It is a good stamp set to use with DP.  I used the Glitz "Black and White" DP with Real Red and White card stock.

My card is for today's SCS Color Combination challenge~Green Pool Mist. Vicki is our hostess and her dessert option is Father's Day Card. I pulled out my favorite stamp image for Father's Day and stamped it in Marina Mist on the Pool Party card stock and mounted to a Garden Green panel. Tied on a little twine and called it done.

Enjoy!

Happy Saturday!!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I am going to! Rain or shine!

Karen is our hostess for the Crazy4Challenges this month. Her challenge today is to "make it FLORAL. Add a single flower add a full bouquet or even make a flower shaped card- let's see some blooms on your projects this week."

I keep moving toward more artsy/mixed media type cards these days. I really would like to do more in my art journal. For my card today I took a watercolor panel and embossed the flower images (Penny Black)with white EP. Used a Molotow masking pen to cover the flowers, then sponged the background with Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks. Added a few splatters of water and white paint, then removed the masking. The flowers are watercolored with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. Added an embossed sentiment (Tim Holtz) and then placed the panel on a Daffodil Delight card.

Thoroughly enjoyed making this card!
