#HappyBirthday

Good Tuesday Morning!
How is your week going? Mine is full steam ahead. Time to hit the road skies again.... Off to Reno and then to California. Hopefully this will be the final trip in this saga...

My card is for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge~Soft Soft Pear Crisp. Becky is our hostess and her dessert option is make it feminine. I think this is more of a girlie card so we can say I opted for dessert, lol.

The layout is from this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.
Come on over and join in the challenge!

Heart You

Happy Saturday!

Ready for the Crazies????
Frances is back today with another fun challenge for us all. Apparently the 10th July was Teddy Bear Picnic Day … so for our challenge this week, create a card that includes a Teddy Bear.

I don't have any Teddy Bear stamps in my stash that I could find, so I went over to Sassy Cheryl's and found this sweet image.  After I took the picture of the card, I realized that I didn't color the ground....oh well..

If you decide to play along with us upload the card to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C244Don't forget to come back here and link it on Inlinkz so that everyone else can see it too.
Go check out what the Crazies came up with this week!

Ready for the Splitcoaststampers Color Combination Challenge? Barbara is our hostess this week and she is doing Old Calypso Delight. Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. Dessert is anything but an A2.

I decided to go with a 4x4 square notecard. A little something to tuck in a special gift for someone. The flowers are colored with SU Markers. (who said I cannot do without Copics? lol) Cut them out and popped them up to give some dimension.

Come on over and join in the challenge! We choose weekly winners!
Enjoy!

Giggles

Good Sunday Morning!

Out of the past 60 days, I have been home only 20....I have seen more of Reno this year than the past 11 years combined. I have accompanied a loved one to California for treatments and experienced that state as someone other than a tourist. Some observations...
It is a diverse state.
The doctors at Stanford are awesome.
Beef is not a common menu item. Lots of Tofu (ick...).
Plastic bags are practically non existent. I love going to the store and the option is "paper bag" or "no bag". I usually opt for the no bag, lol!
I found "Whole Foods" and fell in love.
The weather in Palo Alto is mild. A jacket on summer evenings and early mornings is a necessity for this Florida girl.
Every square inch is covered in apartments.
Lots of natives ride bicycles but the traffic on the interstates is horrendous.
You are not allowed to talk on a cell phone while driving...

With a couple week rest at home, I am gearing up for my job to get busy next week and another trip to Reno/California. Most of all I have the cardmaking bug and I am going with it for as long as it lasts, lol!

This card is for this weeks Pals Paper Arts color challenge...

and The Clean and Simple Challenge...

Humorous cards are on my agenda these days...
Enjoy!

Stamps: StampinUp Giggle Greetings
Paper: White, Lost Lagoon, Sweet Sorbet DP

Crazy4Challenges~ Red/White/Blue!

Happy Saturday!!

It is a brand new month and our new challenge hostess is Frances Byrne.

It also means that it is time to introduce to you our new Guest Designer for July which is
Kelly Booth.
Welcome Kelly! We look forward to having you playing along with us this month.

For the challenge this week we have a Color Challenge .....
Use the colors Red, White and Blue to create your card. It does not have to be a patriotic card.

I was in Reno the past couple of weeks and visited Scrapbook Paradise. I can always find Art Impressions stamps there and of course added to my collection. I just love these stamps!

The layout is from this week's Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #143.
If you decide to play along with us upload the card to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C243. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Inlinkz so that everyone else can see it too.
Go check out what the Crazies came up with this week!

Crazy4Challenges~ Summer/Winter

Happy Saturday!

This is the last challenge for June for Crazy4Challenges. I have enjoyed being the hostess this month and enjoyed having Mary as a Guest Designer.

We are now past the 21st of June and for those of us north of the Equator we are officially into summer and those “down under” are into winter. My challenge, depending on where you live, is to make a card/project that depicts the season where you are.

Summer/Winter
It is definitely Summer here in Florida! How many of you still have picnics? I loved them growing up. Even in college we would pack a picnic and go up to the Smoky Mountains. Now my picnics are on the back patio, lol!

I love this Birdy Brown set and she is perfect for my picnic theme.

If you decide to play along with us upload the card to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C242. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Inlinkz so that everyone else can see it too.
